CDEA’s Fashion Incubator and Accelerator Initiative

CDEA’s Fashion Incubator and Accelerator Initiative in Tanzania, cohort of 2022-2023, was implemented in partnership with:  Naledi Dream Center, a fashion hub based in Tanzanian, dedicated to fostering a conducive ecosystem for fashion entrepreneurs to achieve professional excellence in the fashion industry, focusing on how technology can help the industry leapfrog into the fashion economy; 360 Creative Hub, a fashion business accelerator working to help emerging fashion designers grow, through strategic business support and expansion opportunities based in Lagos, Nigeria; Endelea, a production centre in Tanzania that creates ethical fashion products bridging Europe and Africa, founded in Milan in 2019; Ndoto Hub, a marketplace of business ideas and opportunities to socially and economically empower young women and supported with a digital learning platform and SanaaBiz Investments Limited that owns sanaabiz.com, an e-commerce platform, that provides a one-stop marketplace for Afro-fused fashion and accessories that express an Afro-themed visual metaphor of East African culture and Identity.

In Uganda, CDEA’s Fashion Incubation and Accelerator Initiative  partners with SanaaBiz Uganda Ltd whose goal is to enable designers and artisans  access markets through e-commerce.

CDEA’s Creative Economy Incubator and Accelerator Initiative for fashion design and women in animation (2022-2023),  was   supported by a grant from Ignite Culture: ACP-EU Culture Programme (Eastern Africa). This fund is being implemented by HEVA, in partnership with the British Council Kenya with the financial contribution of the European Union, and with further support from the Organisation of ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific) States. It is part of the global ACP-EU Culture Programme.
