Culture and Development East Africa (CDEA) is a creative think tank that provides cultural and Pan-African thought leadership for creative, social and scientist innovators to create and innovate through structured workplace learning, incubation, research & advocacy and capacity building for social change. We also innovate on how space can be used to enhance sustainable workplace productivity and green community lifestyles.
CDEA is announcing a call for expression of interest to create a creative economy researchers database from which to recruit researchers on contract basis, based on CDEA soliciting of research assignments in East Africa in the following areas.
· Arts/Creative and cultural policy development (cities, local governments and counties)
· Creative economy: Audience research, cultural statistics surveys, industry mapping studies and value chain analysis with focus on film, music and design industries
· Human resource planning and skills development for the cultural and creative industries
· Legislation, tariffs, tax incentive, cross border challenges in EAC for cultural and creative industries
A maximum of 10 researchers, reflecting diverse profiles and experiences, will be selected to be included in the database for researchers. Particular attention will be given to achieve gender parity.
